Cars and Motorcycles in Japan

I’ve always been a huge fan of cars and motorcycles in Japan. Having owned Japanese cars and bikes for years, I just can’t get enough of them.

Not all the cars in Japan are Japanese, but it’s still incredible to see cars in general on the streets. In the U.S., there’s a 25-year rule that prevents us from importing vehicles newer than 25 years old. It doesn’t seem like Japan has that same limit, which makes me even more jealous! The variety and rarity of cars you can spot there is just next level.

A Skyline i saw in a random garage.

I spotted a Civic Type R in Tokyo wrapped in anime art, and I couldn’t believe it—I actually own the same make and model! Seeing it made me seriously consider giving my own car an anime wrap. The only issue? There is so much amazing anime to choose from, I can’t decide which one to go with! Maybe something from Tokyo Ghoul, Digimon or Attack on Titan? It’s a great problem to have!

For such a major city, Tokyo doesn’t have much traffic, thanks to its incredible metro system. If Boston had a metro like that, I’d probably drive a lot less and use my car more for fun and long trips.

On my first day back in Tokyo, I spotted this amazing Subaru that immediately caught my eye.

I noticed plenty of motorcycle parking lots during my time in Japan, and I got to see some really beautiful bikes along the way.

Renault cars. Renault does not sell cars here in the US, but they do look really nice.

I’ve been going through all my photos from my trips to Japan, and as I come across more, I’ll be adding them here. If living in Japan ever became an option, deciding on what car to buy would be a serious challenge. I’m a big fan of the Skyline, but there are so many stunning cars in Japan that it’d be nearly impossible to pick just one.
